In the self-service automation market, transaction reliability influences user satisfaction. Unattended self-service terminals, banking kiosks, and ticketing machines operating 24/7 require heavy-duty thermal printing components to eliminate maintenance downtime. Paper jams, ticket pulling vandalism, and frequent media replenishment are primary industry concerns for system integrators.
The SP-EU804 and SP-EU805 are 80mm kiosk receipt printers developed for integration into self-service terminals. The series combines a compact open-frame structure, reliable paper handling and multiple installation configurations for equipment manufacturers and system integrators.
Both models use direct thermal printing and support receipts, transaction records, queue documents and other printed output. Their design is suited to kiosks used in retail, cinemas, banking, healthcare and other unattended service environments.
The SP-EU804 provides a compact printer structure for terminals with limited internal space. The SP-EU805 adds an extended paper supply structure and is shown with support for a paper roll up to 150 mm in diameter.
Several configurations are available across the two models, giving developers options for different mounting layouts and equipment depths. The correct configuration can be selected according to the available installation space and the required paper supply arrangement.
150 mm/s Thermal Printing
The SP-EU804 and SP-EU805 print at up to 150 mm/s at 25% print density. A resolution of 203 dpi and an effective print width of 72 mm support clear receipt text, graphics and machine-readable codes.
The printers accept thermal paper widths of 82.5 ± 0.5 mm or 79.5 ± 0.5 mm and paper thicknesses from 0.06 to 0.08 mm. These specifications make the series suitable for standard 80mm receipt output in self-service equipment.
Paper Handling for Unattended Kiosks
The SP-EU804 and SP-EU805 are available with an anti-blocking and anti-pulling function. This option helps manage situations in which paper is blocked at the outlet or pulled during printing.
A print-head buffer component supports smoother paper output. The flip-top structure provides direct access for paper loading, while the 180-degree paper path is designed to reduce paper jams. Together, these details simplify routine paper handling inside the terminal.
Automatic Cutting and Long Life Components
The integrated cutter supports full-cut and partial-cut modes, allowing the terminal to deliver a fully separated receipt or leave a small connection for the user to remove. The cutter is rated for 1 million cuts.
The thermal print head is rated for 100 km. These component ratings support repeated receipt printing in kiosks and other self-service equipment.
ESC/POS and Code Printing Support
The printer series supports ESC/POS commands and uses USB plus RS-232 interfaces for connection to the host terminal. Power input is DC 24V ±10%, 2A.
One-dimensional barcode support includes UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-13, EAN-8, CODE39, ITF25, CODABAR, CODE93 and CODE128. The printers also support PDF417, QR Code and Data Matrix. Character support includes ASCII, GB18030 Chinese and BIG5.

Kiosk Applications in Public and Commercial Services
The SP-EU804 and SP-EU805 can be integrated into retail self-service kiosks, cinema ticketing terminals, banking and finance machines, and medical or healthcare terminals. The product materials also identify applications in ATM equipment, locker cabinets, storage systems, fire-control equipment and other self-service terminals.
The open-frame design allows the printer to operate as part of the complete kiosk rather than as a separate desktop device. This gives equipment designers more control over the paper outlet, service access and installation layout.
Choosing Between the SP-EU804 and SP-EU805
The SP-EU804 is the more compact option when the kiosk has limited installation space or uses a separate paper supply arrangement. The SP-EU805 is suitable when the terminal requires the extended paper holder and a larger roll capacity.
Both models provide the same core printing resolution, speed, interfaces, cutter modes and code support. The final choice depends mainly on the terminal structure, mounting method and paper roll requirements.
