4. Troubleshooting Q&A
Q: Why can’t the printer communicate with the host device?
A: Check that the interface cable is securely connected.
For the Ethernet model, confirm that the printer and host device are on the same network segment.
Print a self-test page to verify that the printer is operating normally.
Q: Why is the printed text unclear?
A: Check that the paper roll has been loaded in the correct direction. Clean the print head with a cotton swab moistened with anhydrous alcohol. If necessary, increase the print density through the printer settings.
Q: What should I do if paper is jammed in the cutter?
A: Turn the printer off and then back on. The cutter will reset automatically.
If the cutter does not reset, open the paper cover and manually turn the cutter gear until the cutter returns to its original position.
5. Maintenance
Clean the print head every three to six months using a cotton swab moistened with anhydrous alcohol.
Use qualified 79.5 mm thermal paper to prevent low-quality paper rolls from damaging the print head.
When the printer is used in a restaurant kitchen, regularly remove oil and grease from inside the printer.
After turning off the printer, wait until the cutter has fully reset before disconnecting the power supply.
The serial and USB interfaces support online firmware upgrades.
